Why We should go to Dharamshala

Why do people travel?

Now don’t you go jumping that this article is based on what study or famous personality or who is the theorist that wrote it, let me tell you it was me and what this study is based on is my experience.

People usually travel for certain needs mentioned below:

  1. Peace- In today’s hustle and bustle, the vehicle horns, loud speakers, people shouting, all kinds of useless noise pollution, we are habitual of that but you won’t get any of that in Dharamhala. The serene mountains and pine trees around Fursatganj (oh the name will make sense when you see this place/it’s so beautiful it requires you to sit with a lot of fursat). It’s the place where you find a two way between Naddi and Mcleodganj. Why would you want so much quiet and

natural beauty?

  • Excitement/recreation- The real excitement is in finishing deadlines, getting groceries, best deals on electronics on the big something sale isn’t it. Sitting on your bottoms watching IPL matches or Korean dramas bliss, but in Dharamshala you will have to climb mountains walk along running streams and khads. Places like Triund, The Kharota valley, Karerri hills etc (btw a night spent on a mountain top might just open your eyes to our existence compared to the world glazing the millions of stars from Triund top) where you feel oneness with nature, half the year there is snow and other half lots of water and greenery. The beautiful serene waterfalls can only be seen after a long walk in the valleys that are absolutely gorgeous. No please I am fine just as unhealthy and unfit I am.
  • Pleasure/leisure- People in one house do not get to talk in days sometimes. Odd work hour’s sometimespersonal issues and misunderstandings etc who wants to talk anyway; we have siri, alexa and ok google to answer all our questions. You come to Dharamshala you find a very low density population and that too very soft spoken and well behaved pahadi people. Talking to them is like talking to a flowing river clear and pure. Also if you are with a companion you will get lots to talk just so is the enchanting beauty of this place that you would understand the silence on one another. You know the population of India right and this town just has romance in air. I mean literally its freezing half the year. It will anyways bring you close.
  • Work- The work from Home is supposed to be from home in your shorts, eating junk food, slouching and looking at the beautiful steel and cement structures through your 10 floor apartment buildings 4th floor. Right. You won’t get that from the home stays and BNB’s here. Every where there is beauty and the food the Exquisite and healthy Dhams traditional Himachali food here with rice and 5-7 types of curry preparations or the Tibetan food like laping, The mountain thupka (at House of Tibet) or every child’s favorite Momos (Kirpals momos, google it)or just any small eatery along the main square.. Who needs those?
  • Culture and people- Me Dilli/Mumbai me rehta hu, sab culture dekhela hai bhai. But in Dharamshala you will get to see real pahadi culture the (Mud housed/Nati dance/traditional pahadi songs etc) combined with Tibetan culture as you are aware the government in Exile of Tibet has taken refuge in India and is centered at Dharamshala. The various monstaries namely Dalai Lama temple or the Norbulingka institute etc is like doors to look through Tibet. You might even get the sight of his Holiness himself. But me to paapi hu.

So my friend don’t go to Dharamshala, this place, these people will fill your heart with peace content, positivity, Just love in general and when you have to leave and you don’t want to it will break your heart because you have to. It will make you crave for more Vitamin M (mountain) when you reach home. Why to make so much trouble for yourself. Just do not go.
